Fear has its place. Don’t get me wrong. It can protect you from getting eaten by that lion that is staring at you right now. But the fear I am talking about is the one that is in your mind. That doubt that tells you that you’re going to fail.
This is the first year I have finished off the year begin grateful that we are all still alive. A year of bush fires and floods. Not to mention the infamous CoVid-19 that has claimed so many lives. And here we are. What does it mean to be alive?
Life is topsy turvy, it’s all upside down and inside out. What if everything you thought was right, is wrong? And what if everything you thought was wrong, is right? But more importantly, what if there is no right or wrong? Stop and think about this, because it may just change your perspective a little bit.
The elderly have so much to teach us if we will but listen. I have been working with the elderly for about 3 years now and each one is individual and unique and has something to teach me when I am paying attention and truly listening.
Love and compassion are the answer to everything. As I was reading something I posted yesterday, it hit me smack in the face. This love and compassion that you desire to feel for others can only be complete when you have it for yourself.
